(As the introduction is given earlier moving ahead of it, we write the following: )
...I am sure I will carry with me until my last days: My first school trip for hiking in the mountains. Traveling isn't a big deal today, but before I went to the mountains I was a couch potato. It was very comfortable to spend weeks and months without going anywhere in my hometown, sometimes even in the blocks. All my novelty needs were met by the Discovery Channel and the National Geographic Channel, and I honestly thought there was no difference between watching something on TV and seeing it with my own eyes.
One day, things changed when my best friend Raj, who always had colorful insects in his head, jumped into my room and declared him. I won't explain how he persuaded me to accompany him on a trip to the Himalayas but all I can say is that I left in 5 days.
I went to the mountains for the first time, hence turning my head in all directions. Unfortunately, most of the time the weather was foggy and the visibility got worse as we entered the mountains. Nevertheless, I enjoyed hiking, (feeling like Bear Grylls). The show continued with great excitement for me in the wild, with food and water in my backpack, with a flashlight and a knife. On the first day, we proceeded along the hills. But the next day we started climbing one of the summits. It wasn't too steep and expensive, but I was still excited. I was always in a hurry, so I ran out of energy long before I was at the top. On the other hand, Raj was faster.
Watching all those ridges, cliffs, and ridges alone, not on TV, was like a revelation to me. A strong wind hit my face and I stood up and saw a piece of fog slipping across the ground far below me. At that moment, I realized that I couldn't live my life without visiting the mountains at least several times a year.
The next day we were back. My legs started to hurt and I could hardly walk. But every time I twisted my face, my head touched the sky and I remembered the feeling of being in a high place swimming in the clouds below.
