Answer:
My first encounter with bullying started when I changed schools. I had moved in to a new state years before, and then I went back and forth from home to home. Since I was young, and uneducated about bullying, I never considered I’d become a victim of it.
It was the first day of fourth grade for me, I was lost, and I didn’t want to go to class, i walked around for an hour until a teacher helped me find my way to class. When I got to the classroom everyone was settled in, my teacher placed me at a desk across from this boy that I thought was kind of cute. He looked at me, and instantly started to make jokes. I remember he said that I was ugly, and fat, and that he didn’t want to be around me. It was the first day of school for me and I was only nine. So I thought he was just a mean kid, I brushed it away, and continued on. The rest of the day he made jokes, but like I said it didn’t bother me that much.
I didn’t tell anyone at home, I just pretended I was fine and that nothing happened. Then the bullying got worse, I was called ugly, fat, retarded, compared to bugs and anything unappealing. Later on in the year, my Mom was very sick, she had lost a lot of weight, was blind, and in and out of the hospital. I was stressed out from worrying about her, and I’d stay up all night, for a year or two giving her water and feeding her. We found out that she had an autoimmune disease, but I stayed quiet about it, because I knew no one at school would care.
The bullying eventually got to a point to where I began to hate myself. I didn’t have any friends, all of the kids at school made fun of me. I’ve realized that bullies are everywhere, and that you should always tell an adult, , but I hope everyone can somehow be inspired to stick up for themselves, talk to your parents about being homeschooled, stick up for yourself, and most importantly don’t give up, I’m still young, and I still have many ways to grow, I wish everyone the best of luck. Stand UP to your bully
