Burdwan;6th june2021: A tree plantation programme was observed In Burdwan XYZ School on the world environment day. Doctor Soumitra Mohon, D.M of Burdwan graced the chair of the president. Dr. Keshorinath Tripathy, governor of West Bengal was present as chief guest. The programme was inaugurated by planting a sapling by the president. Headmaster of the school in his short speech told the students about the importance of the day and the need for tree plantation. One hundred saplings were planted in different parts at our school. The teachers, the senior students helped the planters in planting the saplings. The entire area wore a festival look. Through a microphone the headmaster was reciting various poems and lines relating the importance of tree plantation. Immense enthusiasm was noticed among the students and teachers. At the end sweets were distributed among the students.
