Stoichiometry measures these quantitative relationships, and is used to determine the amount of products/reactants that are produced/needed in a given reaction. Describing the quantitative relationships among substances as they participate in chemical reactions is known as reactionstoichiometry.

Your answer is ----

Stoichiometry is the calculation of amounts of reactants and products involved in a reaction.
Stoichiometry calculation require a balanced chemical equation of the reaction.

• Remember a balanced chemical equation is one which contains an equal number of atoms of each elements on both sides of equation .

⏺️ SIGNIFICANCE OF STOICHIOMETRY COEFFICIENT

• Stoichiometry coefficient of chemical equation tells us about the ration in which moles of reactants react and moles of products form .

Example :-

2H2(g) + O2(g) =====> 2H2O(g)

• 1st interpretation

2 moles hydrogen react with 2moles oxygen gives 2moles water.

• 2nd interpretation

2 NA molecules react with NA molecules gives 2NA molecules

• 3rd interpretation

2 molecules of hydrogen react with 1 molecules oxygen gives 2 molecules of H2O
