1. when the pollen grains land on the stigma it moves from the style and reaches ovary after reaching the ovary it get fused with the eggs in ovary and forms zygote. here one male gamete fused with the egg cell to formed zygote. hear the fertilization take place.
2. now the second fertilization takes place with another male gamete to form the secondary endosperm which helps to give nourishment to the developing zygote or the embryo the fertilization here is taken place twice show the fertilization is termed as double fertilization. mostly this fertilization takes place in case of flowers means the female reproductive part of the plant.
