• There are multiple mechanisms involved when it comes to evolution. Genetic Drift is one of them.
• In this mechanism, a change is occurred in the frequency of a gene (also known as, allele) in a populataion.
• This change happens over multiple generations, due to random sampling, also known as, sampling error.
• Due to Generic Drift, there might be loss of alleles. And also there might be rise upto 100% frequency in case of alleles.
• This gets affected in cases of natural catastrophe. Also, gets affected by effects, namely, Bottleneck Effect and Founder Effect.

• A genetic drift is a concept that involves the change of a system from its surrounding. Almost 10%v of the alleles is generally lost in genetic drift.

• Genetic drift is a concept that involves in the change of an allele frequency of a particular locality.  

• This mostly occurs due to the pressure involved in the organism for following in the concept of the survival of the fittest.  

• Though it occurs in all sets of population it is more predominant in a smaller population.
