Hypermetropia, sometimes called hyperopia, is the term used to define being longsighted. If you are hypermetropic, the image of a nearby object is formed behind the retina. This means that light is focused too far back in the eye, causing things which are close up to appear blurred.

Correction :- Convex lens.

Answer:

Hypermetropia or long sightedness : It is the defect of human eye in which a person can see clearly objects at large distances from it. but cannot see nearby objects clearly.

Correction : It is corrected by using spectacles having convex lens, which converges and shifts the image to retina from beyond.
