Explanation:

Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi was born on 2nd October, 1869 at Porbandar in Gujarat. His father was the Diwan of Porbandar, Mohandas left for England in 1888 to study law, after completing his studies he went to Natal in South Africa to work in a law firm, it was here that his political ideologies gain the definite shape.

In South Africa , Gandhiji, like many other Indians and Africans, faced severe racial discrimination. He was thrown of a train as he refused to move from the first class to a 3rd class coach while holding a valid first class ticket, these events inspired him to fight against injustice and discrimination. Gandhiji founded the Natal Indian Congress in 1894 which organised the Indian community of South Africa into a political force and helped Indians in voicing their grievances against British discrimination, basically he developed a novel method of mass agitation called Satyagraha.

Hope it helps you
