Write a note on nucleus
Answers
Answer:
The nucleus is a membrane bound structure that contains the cell's hereditary information and controls the cell's growth and reproduction. It is commonly the most prominent organelle in the cell.
The nucleus is surrounded by a structure called the nuclear envelope. This membrane separates the contents of the nucleus from the cytoplasm. The cell's chromosomes are also housed within the nucleus. Chromosomes contain DNA which provides the genetic information necessary for the production of other cell components and for the reproduction of life.

plz follow..
Its is generally a spherical body and located in the centre of the cell, but can also occupy peripheral(at the corner). It can stained and seen easily with the help of a microscope. It is separated from the cytoplasm by the nuclear membrane. This membrane allows thr movement of materials between the cytoplasm and nucleus. This nucleus directs/controls all the cell activitiesand hence is also called the brain or control house of the cell.
The protoplasm of the nucleus is called the nucleusplasm. It has a thread-like network called Chromatin network, that condenses to form thick thread-like structures called Chromosomes, when the cell is ready to divide. These chromosomes are responsible for the inheritance of characters(genes) from one generation to other.
