》Treatment steps basically involves the physical removal of particles of large and small sizes by simple methods such as filteration and sedimentation.
》substances are also removed in stages such as at in initial floating debris are removed by filteration,then the small pebbles and soil by sedimentation.
》all solids that settle form the primary sludge,and the supernatant forms the effluent.
》The effluent from the primary settling tank is taken for secondary treatment.
Note: before disposal,sewage is treated in sewage treatment plants to make it less polluting.
Treatment of waste water is done by the heterotrophic microbes naturally present in the sewage.
