let the integers be x and y

their product is -36

=>>>. XY=-36

difference is 15 x-y=15

so X=15+y

XY=-36

(15+y)y=-36

y ^{2}  + 15y =  - 36

y ^{2}  + 15y + 36 = 0

y ^{2}  + 12y + 3y + 36 = 0

y(y + 12) + 3(y + 12) = 0

(y + 12)(y + 3) = 0

y=-12 and y=-3

if y=-12 then x=15+y=15-12=3

if y=-3 then x=15-3=12 therefore possible values of X.,y are (-12,3),(-3,12)

sophia7866: I don't know that is y²
sophia7866: What
apurvaa200297: here we used substitution method
apurvaa200297: we substituted x=15+y
