Concept:

An integer is generally defined as a number which can be written without a fractional component that is it is a whole number. For example, 2, - 4, 0, and −20.

Given:

We are given that x - y = 5.

Find:

We need to find a pair of negative ( x, y ) so that the equation is satisfied.

Solution:

There can be many solutions for the equation given.

We just need to find one pair of it.

We will do this by letting either value of x or value of y to get the value of other variable.

Let x = -1 .

So,  -1 - y = 5

y = -6

Pair: ( -1 , -6)

Therefore, a pair of negative integer x and y such that x - y =5 is (-1,-6).
