Question:-

write a paragraph about on your neighbours

Solution:-

Good neighbours are a blessing. They help us whenever we are in need and support us in our trouble. I feel lucky to have Mr Dutta as my neighbour. He is a gem of a person. He is very friendly and helpful to everyone. He is kind-hearted and sympathetic and se a family member to me. We usually have lunch together on Sundays.

Once, while ravelling in a bus at night, my wallet got stolen and I lost all my money and cards . I realised this when I reached back home. I had no money and so I had to ask Mr Durta for money. He took no time to lend me some money and made me feel better. He was very sympathetic and proved to be a great friend.

Another day it so happened that all of a sudden at midnight I became seriously ill. I had high fever and I was too weak to get up from the bed. With just a phone call, he came running and offered me help. He called the doctor and arranged all the medicines. He sat beside me the whole night. He visited me regularly for five days till I was completely well can never forget his sympathy, kindness and service. How lucky I am to have Mr Dutta as my neighbour.

A paragraph is a group of sentences related to one topic or developing one point. These sentences are closely related in meaning and arranged in a systematic manner. A paragraph may stand independently, that is, it may be a short composition complete in itself, or it may be a part of a longer composition, like an essay. The essential features of a good paragraph are:

  1. Unity
  2. Coherence
  3. Variety

If you write a paragraph on a given subject, you can proceed as follows:

1. Think about the subject given to you and write down all the points as they come to your mind. See that all the points are strictly related to the subject.

2. Arrange these points in a systematic order.

3. If you think it proper, begin your paragraph with a topic sentence suggesting the central

theme.

4. Develop your subject in well-connected sentences.

5. Give variety to your sentences. They should be neither too long nor too short. They should have different patterns.

6. The last sentence of your paragraph should give the impression that you have clearly said all that you wanted to say. Try to frame the last sentence as impressively as you can.

7. Since a paragraph has one central idea, it is brief.
