Earth, also known as the blue planet is the only planet in the solar system on which life exists. A unique ecosystem containing water, oxygen, suitable temperature and sunlight exists on earth which makes life possible to exist on earth. Earth is not only home to human beings but also many other species that live in co-existence and thrive on earth. But in recent years due to rampant exploitation of the natural resources, by humans, has lead to ecological disturbance and created worldwide phenomenons like global warming, air pollution, change in weather patterns, rising sea levels, extinction of biodiversity, etc. Forests are getting cleared leading to destruction of habitats of animals. Further Pollution and seasonal changes claim lives of thousands of humans and has even made some species extinct. This is a wake up call to human beings to act in sustainable manner and adapt to green way of life. Sustainable development is the need of the hour and only way forward to address the ecological crisis being faced today. We should live by the motto, "There is enough for everybody's need but not for anybody's greed".
