My Locality at Dawn
At dawn my locality looks ineffably ethereal and sublime, as
if belonging to some other divine planet. There is soul-soothing serenity
everywhere. A refreshing and revitalizing breeze is blowing until the crowds of
people begin to throng streets and lanes. The sky is far more peaceful and
celestial with beautiful diamond-like stars twinkling peacefully. They don’t
appear so far distant. There is no deafening din of human civilization. The
tensions, worries, and concerns don’t confound the human heart. There is
promise of brighter future in the peace of the dawn. There is healing in the early
hours of dawn. It is very unfortunate that very few people get up early to
enjoy the blessings that the heavens pour down on earth during dawn. The people
of the world would have been far healthier, if they would be early risers.
After all, there is more truth hidden in the saying ‘Early to bed, early to
rise, makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise’ than we can comprehend. Let’s be early risers if have to catch the worms
of health, wealth, and happiness!
