Communities are built from the devoted citizens of all ages and backgrounds. A good citizen is one who cares for their community and does what they can to make it better. Some of the principles that citizens should reflect include compassion, selflessness, honesty, leadership, and dedication to their community. I volunteer in my community whenever possible because I believe that it is important to support the people and organizations around me. Growing up beside neighbors, friends, family, and individuals within the community has made a great impact on my life. These people have offered me support in a multitude of ways and shaped who I am today. In the future, whether or not I am still living in Perry County, I plan to devote my time to improve my community by taking care of the environment, getting to know and help individuals in the community, getting involved in a variety of organizations that support the community, and more. If I move away from Perry County, I hope to return and provide aid for the community in any way I can. The civic, cultural, and moral welfare of the community is of great significance. People within the community should take an interest in the administration of their town. They should celebrate the customs around them and express a virtuous attitude. Overall, people should be involved in the many aspects of their community because the community one lives in is has a great influence on their life. Community is an everyday part of life.
