In collaboration with ' Green World ' , an NGO , our school organised a tree plantation drive on 5th June , 2019 on the occasion of World environment Day . The motto of the drive was " Each one - Plant at least one " . A number of saplings of plants like Neem , Peepal , Guava , Jamin and Mango were provided by the NGO . The drive was declared open when noted environmentlist Sh. Biffu Sahgal planted a sapling along with our respected Principle . He also gave a small speech encouraging us to take care of our environment and Mother Earth . All the students made a queue and planted at least one sapling each in our School ground . After planting the saplings , we watered them and vowed to take care of them in the future . Our teachers and administrative staff also take part in the drive . Some of the students took a selfie while planting saplings and send it to their friends and relatives thereby motivating them to plant trees .
We all were thrilled because the plantation drive was a huge success . It was reported in the newspapers as well . All the participants were provided refreshments .
