Every Indian will be happy. Every type of work will be respected. Highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene will be maintained in the India of my dreams. Answer:
India is known for its liberal and embracing outlook towards various cultures, religions and beliefs. It is not only endowed with natural beauty but the mineral wealth is also in abundance. It is a developing country with rich culture and a heritage to be proud of. I am proud to be born in the holy land of Ganges, where every place has its own history and folk tales linked to it. As the son/daughter of India, I dream of a united and prosperous India. I dream of a developed India which is not the upcoming super power, but one of the strongest and most powerful nations in the world.
I want to see a holistic progress of India in all the fields – be that a field of rocket science, agriculture, biotechnology or education. I dream of India as a country which is self-dependent to sustain its economic growth, where judiciary is not plagued by the vices of corruption, where every citizen is granted the basic necessities of life without facing a need to beg and a place where there is no dearth of food and employment. Indians are known for their intelligence and innovative minds all around the world. But it’s unfortunate that because of lack of resources our brilliant minds have to go abroad in order to make full use their talents. I hope that one day India will have sufficient resources at its disposal that no one has to move out because of dearth of opportunities to shine in their field.
I dream of a united and economically stable India. The India of my dreams has brotherhood, non-violence and prosperity prevailing everywhere. There would be less economic gap between the rich and the poor. The opportunities would not be the prerogative of the rich only. There would be unbiased justice and corruption would be uprooted from its very source. Women would receive equal opportunities as men and there would be end of gender discrimination. A child, irrespective of whether a girl or boy, would receive proper education and respectable place in the society.
Romain Rolland, a famous French dramatist, novelist, essayist, art historian, mystic and a Nobel Prize winner, had once said: “If there is one place on the face of earth where all the dreams of living men have found a home from the very earliest days when man began the dream of existence, it is India.” There cannot be a better description of India of my dreams. It is an ideal place where every citizen is granted all the fundamental rights and where there is no discrimination based on gender, caste, color or creed. It would be a place where everyone is equal in front of the judicial system and where only talent, not birth decides the fate of a human being.
