It is one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. Every year thousands of tourists from all over the world visit the Taj. It was built by the mogul emperor shahjehan.

He built it in the memory of his dear wife mumtaz. It was completed in twenty – two years. It cost Shahjehan more than three crore of rupees. It is made of white marble. It stands on the right bank of the Yamuna.

There is a minaret in each of its four corners. There are two tombs in it. One of them is of mumtaz mahal. The other is of Shahjehan. There are beautiful gardens on their sides of the Taj. On the fourth side flows the Yamuna. The taj looks very beautiful in the light of a full moon.it is a dream in marble.

Explanation:

From the very beginning of the world, man is much eager to know the unknown. It is a common saying that travel improves educational knowledge. So, in order to enrich our educational knowledge, our school organises an excursion every year. Last November, our school thought of making us reallse the real grandeur of Mughal art through a direct contact with the Mughal era’s masterpiece- Taj Mahal. The Taj Mahal is an impressive building built in the memory of Mumtaz Mahal, the beautiful dead wife of emperor Shah Jahan. It took 22 years and 22, 000 workers to build this monument. It was made entirely out of white marble brought from all over the world. Those architects designed it so beautifully that it cost 32 billion rupees to build. This monument stands for the devotion and love for his dearest wife. We reached Agra on a full moon day. We entered through a red sandstone entrance and reached the main premise. The green grass and green trees adorned its majestic beauty. We went towards the grand building. After so many years, even today the marbles are intact. We found carved motifs and prayers in Urdu on the walls and floor. In its structure there is the combination of many architectural styles such as Indian, Persian, Turkish and Islamic. Below the surface we got to see the sarcophagus of both Mumtaz Mahal and Shah Jahan- the eternal lovers. At night we experienced the rare beauty of full moon light. The light was reflected by the tomb making the entire Taj Mahal shine like a grand piece of diamond dazzling under the clear sky. We also minutely saw each and every part of this superb piece of art. This building has acquired fame as a seventh wonder of the world. The beauty charmed us very much. I am full of wonder even now and can still see the beauty of the art.
