My friend and I experienced a horror encounter on his home. It was his birthday. As we were playing, we both heard a moaning sound from the basement of his house. He told me he often heard such noises and told me it is better to ignore. I thought he was playing a prank with me along with one of my friend who was supposed to join us. So I paused the game and went straight towards the cellar and opened the door. The moment I entered I felt it might not be a prank because the atmosphere was so chill. I noticed the sound coming from a doll. Just then my friend came in and with a panic tone told me that it is better to go out right away. As we were arguing, we saw the doll approaching towards us. With the same moaning sound, it said to us "Hello children please help me"!. We both started to run so fast that nothing could stop us and came out of the house. Such a terrible experience it was.

Spooky place:
A spooky place has a frightening and dreadful atmosphere which makes us feel that the place has ghost or other paranormal creatures in it. The vast shadows looming back and forth, sounds of footsteps, paranormal events, cold spots, odd noises, wind blowing hard and windows fluttering unnaturally are few examples of spooky atmosphere.
The ‘spooky things’ make a shiver go down the spine. The tragic events like accidental death, murder, suicide etc would leave us to interpret that the place is spooky. It is generally called as a ghost house or a ‘haunted house’ or building often perceived as the place being inhabited by the spirits of the dead.
