If I were Mahatma Gandhi, i would have had the same approach to freedom fighting and struggle as one expects from a person who is such.

However, my purpose of separation would have been slightly different. Even though Muslims and Hindus have had a difference in ideology, their strategic alliance would have been beneficial in the global world, had we driven out the Britishers together. Considering that both had lived together for so long, they could have maintained better peace. If no the least they could have done is not treat each other so harshly. They should have done a partnership of some sort, sorted out things and become allies. If I were Mahatma Gandhi, i would have a talk with Jinnah and deal accordingly for Pakistan and India.
