Answer:

The Knight who saved me that Night

I visited an old friend this morning and was returning in my car. It was an eventful day, indeed! This particular thought was running in my mind while the car whisked me away. At this late hour, my eyes were closing while the cool wind was blowing through my hair. A loud, startling noise attracted my attention. It took me a minute to know that the car’s brake had failed and had crashed into a nearby tree. The crash’s impact caused a huge branch to break which shattered the bonnet. I was trapped! My driver was seriously injured. My foot was stuck and I couldn’t move. It was then I realised my head was bleeding. I managed to open the window and called out. But no one was there. Not seeing anyone around made my stomach go in a knot. I don’t remember how long I was there. I could hear a voice but couldn’t respond. For a brief second, our eyes met before I became unconscious. When I woke up, I was on a hospital bed. Here, I saw my family and a mysterious man. Their concerned filled voices reached me all at once. I enquired about the driver and everyone informed that he was out of danger. I was glad to have won this battle against death. My family was thanking the mysterious man. I guessed he was the one to save me. I thanked him wholeheartedly. My condition was weak but I started recovering fast. After a week I was discharged. Since my recovery days I had kept in touch with him. He too kept asking me how I was doing. After I regained my health, the two of us met. This marked the beginning of our journey, a journey of lifelong friendship.
