Step-by-step explanation:
8, 17 and 15 are the pythagorean triplet
one number is 15.. and we know pythagorean triplet are in the form of m² -1 , 2m and m² + 1
remember M can not be decimal.
from 2m = 15, we will get 7.5
m²-1 = 15 , we get ±4
m² + 1 = 15, we get √14 , that means no whole number for 14.. means.. decimal.. means NO
so, m is ±4
so, triplet will be like...
2m = 2 × 4 = 8
m² - 1 = (4×4) - 1 = 15
m² + 1 = (4×4) + 1 = 17
So, 8, 15 and 17.
