Hi ,

*****************************

Form of a quadratic equation whose zeroes

are m , n is

x² - ( m + n ) x + mn = 0

***************************************

Here ,

m = 1 , n = -2

m + n = 1 - 2 = -1

mn = 1 × ( - 2 ) = -2

Therefore ,

Required quadratic equation ,

x² - ( -1 ) x + ( -2 ) = 0

x² + x - 2 = 0

I hope this helps you.

Hi friend,

Let Alpha = 1 and beta = -2.

Sum of zeros = (Alpha + Beta) = 1+(-2)= -1

And,

Product of Zeros = (Alpha × Beta) = 1 × 2 = 2

Therefore,

required polynomial = X²-(Alpha+Beta)X+Alpha × Beta

=> X²-(-1)X-2

=> X²+X-2

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU... :-)
