Meet the Taxi Driver Who Returned Rs. 6 Lakh Left Behind by a Passenger
When a man left his bag that had Rs. 6 lakh in a taxi, he would have imagined the worst. But thanks to a very honest taxi driver, his got back all his money without much delay.
Bideswar Saw, a 52-year-old taxi driver in Kolkata, was headed to Vidyasagar Setu after dropping off a passenger at Howrah station. That was when a man hailed his taxi to go to Rajabazar. After he got off near the Rajabazar bridge, Bideswar found a black leather bag left on the back seat.
He waited at the same spot for the next ten minutes, hoping that the passenger would return. But when he didn’t, Bideswar kept the bag with him without opening it.
“In the evening, before going home, I thought I should go back to the spot and look for the man. But before that I opened the bag to check inside. When I saw the notes, I went to the Kasba police station,” Bideswar, who lives in Kasba.
Bideswar hails from Madhubani in Bihar, and has come to Kolkata to work. The police officer on duty was awestruck by his honesty when Bideswar said that he knew about the money inside the bag, and has still come to return it. On contacting the Narkeldanga police station, they found that a man had lodged a complaint of a lost bag. He was called to the Kasba Police Station and the bag was handed over to him in front of Bideswar.

A cab driver in Bangkok , Thailand was rewarded for his honesty when he returned a bag full of cash that an American tourist had left while travelling in his taxi.
The bag had belonged to the tourist named Jerry Allen which contained around 3 Lakh Baht or 10,000 USD.
The passenger while travelling to Suvarnabhumi Airport in Bangkok forgot the bag in the taxi and Veeraphol Klamsiri, the driver found the bag while cleaning his car.
He chose to return the valuable bag instead of keeping it and has been rewarded for the same.
