February 1: We , the inhabitants of Siliguri , have been facing for acute shortage of water since November 2020. Now a days , the problem has reached to an extreme condition. In some areas water is available for hardly one to two hours and there is no water available in some parts. We have to walk a long distance to bring water . Sometimes we have to wait for a long time for it. Local municipality never sends water tank regularly. Often the staff charge a huge amount for fresh water where it should be in free distribution. It is common to see people in a queue fetching water. No measure has yet not been taken by the government to ease this horrible situation. They are nothing but viewer due some silent reasons. Upon questioning they are deaf.
