Our school adopted a village for social service project in the month of June 2019. The project included volunteer students going to the village to organize literacy campaign, Swacchta Abhiyan, and tree plantation drive.
A group of volunteers consisting of 28 students and 3 teachers did the social service project. The students went from home to home enquiring about their illiteracy. After collecting the data, they held classes for the adults to make them reliant in basic literacy.
The teachers and students did cleaning of the village and taught the villagers significance of cleanliness. The students also helped the medial department in administering polio drops to children. The social service project lasted for ten days. At the end of the project, the students were given certificates signed by honorable Prime Minster of India.
