From 8 august of 2018 , severe flood affected the parts of kerala due unusual heavy rainfall during monsoon season. It was the worst flood in kerala nearly a century.Over 483 died and 14 are missing . about a million were evacuated , mainly from Chengannur,Pandanad,Edayaranmula,KOZHENCHERY etc......All 14 districts were placed on red alert.This situation was monitored by the National Crisis Management committe coordinated the rescue and relief operations.but actually fishermens were the real heroes in this rescue.
