                          Tree Plantation Drive at Green Grove

Keeping the spirit of Vanmahotsav alive with the ongoing tree plantation drive all across the country, a tree plantation programme was held in our society, Green Grove last week. The Mayor of the city along with a team of 20 workers planted 5000 trees in and surrounding areas of our society. All the important members of the management committee of the society also contributed to the tree plantation drive. 200 members of the society planted 5000 saplings of different species of trees. Addressing the gathering on the occasion, The Mayor appealed to the residents to ensure the sapling's healthy nurturing. He appealed to them to adopt the saplings planted near their homes for the 100% survival and healthy growth of each sapling into full-fledged trees for creating purer environment in the society. The Mayor appreciated the president of the society, Mr. Tarsem Singh's initiative to make the society’s surroundings green.  The media were present to cover the event.
