Here's the answer you are looking for
We all are made to believe that water is a renewable resources which can come back though rain or so even if we overused. But the reality is the uneducated and some of the educated people think that water is their birth right and they can use as much as they want. Water, as we all know, follows a cycle, if there is no water on earth there will be no evaporation and hence, no rain. If we keep on using water so restlessly, I don't think the future of the earth is bright nor our next generation will be with much water and other resources to spend life with. So, it's high time for all of us to be aware of the chaos we are spreading by polluting water and by overusing it. We can't only depend on the government to take action because we know that Indian government is one of the most corrupted government in the world.
So we have to take actions at our levels. Even though we cannot alone bring a great change but if every individual tries to save water at his/her own level, it will bring a great breakthrough in the history of India. Here are some of the ways in which we can save water at individual levels.
1. First of all replace or repair the worn out or damaged taps or showers. Dripping taps are one of the biggest sources of wastage of water. Each dripping tap nearly wastes 1 gallon water each year.
2. Secondly, fit a water saving device in your toilet cistern or replace with a modern one as these use less water for each flush. This prevents us from unknowingly wasting a lot of water.
3. Shorten your shower. Trimming just two minutes off your shower can save up to 1,750 gallons of water per person in your household each year.
4. sprinkle water in your ward when it’s more likely to stay in the soil like in early morning or in the evening.
5. Get a rain barrel or rain water conservation system. Collect the water that streams off your roof when it rains by setting up a rain barrel underneath your gutter’s downspout. And use that water because it is from the purest form of water, that is rain.
As I said it's hightime, most of the ponds and rivers dry off in the time when we need them the most that is during summer due to less water content. The Earth is 97% water. But out of the water on earth 96% is unsafe for us to consume. From the rest 4% 2% to 3% of consumable water is in frozen form that is glaciers. And the rest 1% is what we are left with as fresh water to consume. This is like we are having a bucket full of water but cannot use it because the amount of fresh water is just a drop of water. So let the drive to save water, to save our earth, to save us begin at individual level and turn out to be a moment at the international level.
Thank you.
