Pollution of Ganges:

The largest river of India, the Ganges has become polluted and now it has become a great threat to the health of the people connected to it.

Ganga is being considered as the 6th most polluted river in all over the world.

The main reasons that accelerated the polluting process of the river are- increased population of India, human usages of the water of the river for dumping of industrial garbage and many other wastes, washing clothes, bathing etc.

Our Prime minister Narendra Modi took the initiative to clean the river through “Namami Gange Project”, July 2014. 2,958 crores have been invested till July 2016 in this project.

Yellowish colour of Taj Mahal:

In Past few years one of the Seven Wonders of the World the Taj Mahal is turning yellow colour. The reasons behind it can be – pollution, marble discolouration due to oxidation, negligence and mishandling by the tourists for years. Government is taking initiative to protect this wonderful creation of art.
