Rabindra Jayanti is the day which signifies the birth ceremony of the renowned scholar, author and Nobel Laureate Rabindranath Tagore. It is observed everywhere in the nation on the 25th day of the month of Baisakh. Therefore, May 9 was the day for celebrating the 157th birth birthday of Rabindranath Tagore in our school. The event was glorified in three stages.
The Primary Section introduced the ceremony with a garland of poems, dances, speeches and a comedy conceived by Tagore. The ISC Section paid tribute to Tagore through a lovely collage on Tagore which was originated by the chairman of our school, B Jha. The ceremony extended in the form of the recital of English and Bengali translations of Tagore's poetry from the Gitanjali compilation, which was developed by "Riturongo", which was an artistic interpretation of the seasons through speech, songs, and choreography from Tagore's works.
The celebrations were concluded by the Secondary Section of our school through displays of poetry, lyrics and dances and drama depicting the immense range of Tagore's conceptions.
