Our locality also celebrates this independence every year. For this year we had made all the preparations. In the morning our school NCC cadets marched out in a procession through the main streets of the town with a band playing the National Anthem.
The deputy commissoner was the Chief Guest of the Programme. he hoisted the national flag sharp at 8:00 am. All the students and teachers and others saluted the flag and then sang the National Anthem. Then followed the Cultural Programme. Patriotic Poems and Songs were recited by the students. Some students also presented the group dance and skits.
In the end the DC delivered the short speech. he told the students about the supreme sacrifice the great martyrs gave for the sake of freedom. She also said that the freedom was very precious and it was very necessary to preserve it.
The DC exhorted the students to follow the ideals of the great people like Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Subhash Chandra Bose etc. Then some more people delivered speeches on the occasion. All the speakers spoke on the significance of the historic day. They advised the students to become ideal citizens of the country.
In the end of the ceremony, sweet-balls ( laddoos) were distributed among the between teachers and the students and others.
The Independence Day has a great importance in every citizen’s life. This day reminds us every year that freedom is sacred and citizens must do everything to ensure that it shall not be endangered.

On a fine day in delhi the tri colour has mesmerised the nation .

With many problems in nation,the nation yet to develop it was a day to people to promise that they will develop their country .
It all started in the morning sharp7'O clock
when the head of the school has blown the signal to all the students to gather in the grounds,after singing national song and anthem,the flag was finally hoisted by chief guests
then the parade started,along with the parade all the students started a rally by shouting slogans
After the road rally finished,all the people gathered in the grounds
people gave their speeches,and dances ,and cultural programs were held
the day ended with distribution of sweets to mark the happiness of independence day
