Independence day was celebrated with great enthusiasm in our area the event started around 10 am in the morning and went till midnight. The chief minister was the honorable guest of the event.
To put more energy to the event famous musicians were also invited to sing the patriotic songs. And while one of the most famous singers performed the national anthem, the honorable chief guest unfurled the flag of the country.
Later, he gave a speech on the importance of independence day and what our government is doing to make our country a better place to live in.
Food stalls from known restaurants were offering free food to the public as a token of love on the day of independence. Children from schools and colleges were asked to participate in this event too by performing small plays and traditional dances to promote our culture.
Chief guest presented gifts and awards to the people who participated in the show, for making the event more interesting.
