First company implemented Permanent  Settlement system to gain more revenue to earn profit. But company realised that this system flaws in revenue collection. so company devise new system to revenue collection.

In the north-western provinces of Bengal presidency, the Mahalwari system was introduced, in south India the Ryotwari system was implemented.   But because of this system the peasants deserted village, cultivator became more impoverished and revenue was too high to pay. So these new systems were also not successful.
