Answer:

This year, Don Bosco Primary School, Matunga celebrated Christmas in a different way i.e. via the online platform. Though the celebrations were held virtually, the students enjoyed the celebration which was held from 16th to 19th December 2020.

As it is said by Will Ferrell, “The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear.” The students participated in the singing of Christmas carols that were daily posted for them, in a cheerful spirit. During the festive week, the students solved different worksheets and did interesting activities. After the class, the students sent the pictures of the activities to their respective teachers. The Christmas Symbol Competition was held on 18th December 2020, where students of each section had to create different Christmas symbols using waste materials. Std 1 made snowmen, while Std 2 created bells. The students of Std 3 made Christmas trees and Std 4 made Christmas wreaths. The boys came up with different ideas and did their level best to make their creation look very attractive. The teachers were proud to see their children doing the activity all by themselves.

We all love Christmas and to make this Christmas season a memorable one, the Primary Section had their Christmas celebration on 19th December. The students were all excited for the celebration. They were happy to attend the online celebration in coloured clothes. Many of them sported their Christmas caps, some wore Santa Claus masks and were ready for the celebration. The boys and the teachers greeted each other and the Symposium began. The celebration began with a prayer. The teacher then presented the screen to show the Nativity, enacted by the students of Std 2-i.e. the story about Jesus’ birth. The students enjoyed playing games which were conducted online by the teacher. The wonderful Christmas polka dance was performed by the children of Std3. Christmas carols were then sung, where the boys joined in the singing and brought about the feel of joy and happiness. The teachers put in a lot of effort to make this day a memorable one. The students did miss being in the school on this festive occasion.

The celebration ended by wishing each other “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2021.”
