WVM Convent Held Painting Competition
WVM Convent Sr. Sec. School, Defene Colony, New Subhash Chander Nagar, Ludhiana participated in the painting competition organized by Income Tax Department on July 24, 2018. The IT department had invited the school to organize a painting competition for junior and senior school students at the school’s campus. The topics for paintings were ‘Mera Desh’, ‘Swacch Bharat Abhiyan’, and ‘Samridha Bharat’.
Students enthusiastically took part in the competition and made many wonderful paintings on the given topics. Mr. S.P.Sharma, the President; Mrs. Leena Sharma, esteemed members of the management; Mrs. Radhika Sachdeva, the Director and Mrs. Sunita Kumari, the Principal thanked the Income Tax Department for hosting the creativity enhancing competition at the school campus.

AN INTER-SCHOOL group singing competition was held here at Ragendra Swarup Centre of Performing Arts on Tuesday. About 16 ICSC and ISC schools took part in the competition, which was organised Dr Virendra Swarup 21st Century School. The programme started with the singing of a beautiful song ‘The cup of life’ by students of the host school. After which, students of other schools sang various songs and made the whole atmosphere melodious.
The schools bagging the first and the second position were Dr Virendra Swarup School, Kidwai Nagar and Mother Teresa Mission respectively. The winners were awarded a winning trophy and a cash reward of Rs 1100, sponsored by the Round Table-57.
