The population of the world is increasing day by day, presenting major challenges to all governments of the world. Such challenges are major in developing countries because the rates of population growth and urbanization both are high, and per capita water availability is already low.

India and Pakistan, were able to resolve their dispute over the Indus River System due to the mediation of the World Bank. The Indus Waters Treaty was concluded in 1960.

We know that in this age the population of the country and the Wolrd is increasing. By this increasing the scarcity of the water is increasing. Nowadays, The scarcity is the Biggest problem.
The India-Pakistan water conflict is an best example of conflict. The increasing population and poor management of water resource are resulted in an increasing demand for water resources.
Factors which have led to the dispute and the threat of transformation of the disputes armed conflicts in future will be discussed in the paper.
