There are 3 types of epithelial tissues, those are Squamous epithelium,cuboidal epithelium and columnar epithelium. There are 3 ways of describing layers simple, stratified and pseudo stratified.

there are different types of epithelial tissues
1)squamous epithelial tissue is composed of cells, which are thin, flat with prominent nuclei closely packed .example found leaving the mouth and nasal cavities, blood vessels and lymph vessels.
2) stratified epithelial tissue is found in the skin and the cornea. it is composed of several layers of the same or different kinds of epithelial tissue.
3) cuboidal epithelial tissue is found in some part of kidney tubules and in some glandular such as those of salivary glands, pancreatic duct.
4) columnar epithelial tissue contains vertically arranged cylindrical or brick like cells. the cells are usually tall inside columnar epithelial is generally found in the inner lining of the stomach and intestine.
