Mohammad Ghori was a Turkish who was under the rule of Mahmud of Ghazni. When he died, Ghori occupied the Ghaznah region, which was ruled by Mahmud of Ghazni. Ghori soon rose to power, and invaded India. In the First Battle of Terrain in 1191, he was defeated by Prithviraj Chauhan, but he again invaded India in the Second Battle of Terrain, he defeated Prithviraj Chauhan, and established Muslim rule in India for the first time. He can be called the Founder of the Delhi Sultanate
