Explanation:

A motion of no-confidence, or a vote of no confidence, or confidence motion, is a statement or vote about whether a person in a position of responsibility (government, managerial, etc.) is no longer deemed fit to hold that position, perhaps because they are inadequate in some respect, are failing to carry out obligations, or are making decisions that other members feel detrimental. As a parliamentary motion, it demonstrates to the head of state that the elected parliament no longer has confidence in (one or more members of) the appointed government. In some countries, if a no confidence motion is passed against an individual minister they have to resign along with the entire council of ministers

Joint Session of Parliament is called when a Bill is passed by one House and rejected by the other House and in case where the amendment proposed to a Bill in one House is rejected by other House and also in case the other House sits on a Bill without taking any action for six months.

It is the President who calls a Joint Session of both the houses – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha. The Joint Session is presided over by the Speaker of Lok Sabha. The decision taken in the Joint Session is final if it receives the approval of the majority present.
