Adaptation of desert plants - Plants have thick cuticle or waxy coating ,sunken stomata, extensive root system, thick and fleshy stems and organs to store water, leaves reduced to spine.

Adaptation of desert animals - Animal excrete solid urine and faeces possess , spiny skin and highly cornified skin, they come out during the night or early morning for fedding purposes to prevent loss of water and the scorching heat of the desert.
