Atmospheric pressure is pressure exerted by the air column on the earth surface. The higher the altitude, the thinner the air is, and the lower the atmospheric pressure is. This is because high places do not have as much air above them, pushing down.So as the altitude increases atmospheric pressure also increases. Its normal value is 760 mmHg.
