black soil is suitable for growing cotton .it also called as regur soil.lt mainly found in northern plain.and it also have more capacity to hold a moisture and 're soil developed in area of low rainfall or crystalline igneous rock it appear red due to diffusion of iron in crystalline or metamorphic rock
