It is the first Indian Mission to the Moon devoted high resolution remote sensing of the lunar surface features in visible,near infrared,X-Ray and low energy Gamma Rays regions.
It was the First unmanned flight which was blasted off from Sriharikota on 22 Oct in 2008.
It was there for 2 years.
After suffering from techincal issues it stop sending radio signals 01:30 IST
