Forestry is defined as the theory and practice of the creation, scientific management and conservation of forests and their resources. This includes all actions pertaining to existing forests and also the creation of new ones. Forests may be classified into four different types. These types are protection forests, national forests, village forests and tree lands. Commercial forests fall under the category of production forests.
