tropical evergreen forests:-these rainforest are restricted to heavy rainfall areas like western ghats and lakshadweep island and in assam and Tamil nadu coast.they need 200cm of rainfall.trees height is approx 60m. there is no definite time of trees to shed their leaves.important trees are ebony,rosewood.animals found here are elephants,monkey.
deciduous forests:-these are also called monsoon forests.these forests receive rainfall between 200cm to 7cm. these are found in chattisgarh,West orrisa and jharkhand. most important trees are bamboos,sal,Shisham. these trees shed their leaves for about six to eight weeks in dry summer . animals found here are lion,tiger,pig
