He was considered as tge soul if nationalism.He established a secret society known as Young Italy and was totally devoted to a united Italy.Mazzini was born in Genoa whch was under the control of Piedmont.From the beginning he was a staunch patriot and gave up everything to fight for his country's liberalisation.He was arrested and imprisoned in 1831 for supporting the Carbonari and was also sent to exile.After his release he founded two organizations called the Young Italy and Young Europe
