Huynh Phu So was the leader of Hoa Hao Movement, which was an anti French religious movement of Vietnam. It began in 1939. Huynh criticised useless expenditure and opposed the sale of child brides, gambling and the use of alcohol and opium. As Huynh became popular, the French declared him not to have brain

and named him m * d Bonze. In 1941 he was exiled to Laos and his followers were sent to the concentration camps.

The founder of Hao Hai Movement was Huynp Phu So. He performed miracles and helped the poor.He opposed useless expenditure,sale of child brides,gambling and the use of alcohol and opium. The French authorities tried to suppress the movement inspired by him and declared him mad.

Later in 1941, he was declared as sane. The French authorities exiled him to Laos and sent many of his followers to concentration camps..
