ISI stands for Indian Standards Institution. Today, it is known as Bureau of Indian Standards. This institution provides a certification mark for industrial products in India, which reflects that a product conforms to laid down quality standards.

ISI is Indian Standards Institute. This trademark is given by the government to certify the industrial products. If the products conforms to the set standards laid by Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). It is the most recognised certification in the Indian subcontinent. ISI mark is mandatory for products like electrical appliances, kitchen appliances, and other products like portland cement, automotive tyres,  LPG cylinders and valves, etc.
